We gather event registration data to assess community interest in different events and evaluate where we can improve. We use registration lists to verify membership for members-only events, but otherwise do not save or track the names of people registered for our events. LinkedIn event registration also gives you the option to receive updates and alerts about future events from AppSciComm, but that is not required
"Since our goal is to create a supportive network throughout Appalachia, state-level location data may be assessed in aggregate to see if in-person events are feasible or if we need to commit to more outreach in certain states. Similarly, job titles may be assessed in aggregate in order to ensure that we are offering programming that is helpful to active community members and event attendees.
