About the Event
COST: $40 / person ($10 off the regular price!). Once you RSVP, we will follow up with you to collect payment.
We originally planned a caving trip for May of 2020, but caves tend to be cramped and poorly ventilated -- just about the worst place to be during a respiratory virus pandemic! At long last, it's finally looking like we can do this excursion safely, so please join us for this much-anticipated event.Â
Preliminary Schedule:
9am - 12pm: Classroom
- Registration & release signing
- Talks on cave geology and use of drones in caves
- Overview of caving safety and procedures
12 - 1pm: Lunch break
Split into two separate tracks:Â
- Upper cave tour (1hr) Â for folks who prefer to keep clean and upright in a well-lit space.
- Wild cave tour (3 hrs) for those who want to crawl around and get dirty. Must be at least 12 years old, with sturdy footwear and two of your own light sources.
4pm: Cave closes
