Open forum: Keeping Up with Federal Policy Changes & Executive Orders

As federal policies continue to shift around research priorities, diversity initiatives, and public funding, science communicators and PIOs are facing new – and often urgent – questions. Join the AppSciComm community for an open forum to share how institutions are responding, compare approaches to sensitive language and messaging, and discuss how to support researchers and maintain public trust in uncertain times. 

With this open discussion we hope to foster shared learning and solidarity among communicators during challenging times. It will focus on exchanging best practices for handling policy changes while upholding institutional values, identifying useful resources and collaboration opportunities, and strengthening community and resilience within the field.
