About the Event

Join your AppSciComm friends on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., for a behind-the-scenes, "after dark" visit at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Collection managers for the museum's world-renowned bird, insect, and reptile sections will offer up-close views of the collections, including specimens that regular visitors to the museum don't get to see.

The event is sponsored by the Appalachian Science Communicators. AppSciComm will cover the costs for members, but a suggested donation of $15 per person is highly recommended. Nonmembers are requested to make a $15 donation through our fiscal sponsor, New Sun Rising (tax deductible!): https://www.newsunrising.org/community/nsr_donation/public/index.php?project=1516. The special event will be able to accommodate school-aged children.
